Growing up on the west coast with roots in the mid-west has given me many varied experiences.  I graduated from the University of California at Davis with an English major and a music minor.  I attended the University of Michigan for my sophomore year, and I had the opportunity to march in the Rose Parade with the Michigan Marching Band.  Before my senior year of college, my family returned to Michigan.  I followed after graduation and entered graduate school at Nazareth College.

I began teaching in Marcellus, MI.  The school was very small, and I taught 8th through 12th grade English.  After transferring to IL, I taught freshmen, juniors and seniors at Lincoln-Way Community High School's Central and East campuses.  While our children were young, I worked with a test preparation company.  For over ten years, I taught students preparing to take the ACT, SAT, and PSAT. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in English at Governors State University.

I am so pleased to continue my career with students in Manteno!
